SUMMARY:PM4Real April 2022: Crises and Stressful Situations
DESCRIPTION:\nJoin us, on the next PM4Real event on Thursday, 21st of April 2022, at 5pm to explore how to deal with crisis and stressful times in project management. PM4Real is dedicated to PMs for practice sharing and networking.\n\nWe have also prepared a Zoom meeting for all those who will not be able to attend the meeting live.\n\nThe event is free of charge, non-members are also welcomed. Accreditation holders will receive 2 PDUs (1 strategic + 1 technical).\n\nNot a single project is executed in a perfect way. On every project they are obstacles that must be overcome, if we want that project is successful. It is not necessary that we have a crisis moment in every project, but some stressful times are guaranteed. Pressure from stakeholders generates changes and changes increases the complexity of the management task, jeopardizing cost, and project certainty. That is why it is said that Project Manager (PM) is no doubt one of the most stressful jobs out there, as the PM is directly responsible and accountable for the success or failure of a project.\n\nSome PMs believed that they can handle and cope with the high level of stress but there are some who are ignoring or refuse to recognize that they are under stress. The experience of stress is not only impacting the cognitive and behavioral performance, it can also have a negative impact on your personal health, wellbeing, and family life. You might not able to change the amount of stress you have on a daily basis, but you can change how you deal with it. It is important to manage the stress before it becomes more and more difficult to handle and manage.\n\nJoin us and let’s together discuss about stress and crises in project management.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMarko Golob ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/marko-golob-pmp-971429bb/ ) has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master's degree in Business Administration. Beside a certificate from Engineering Chamber of Slovenia he is also PMP certified. Marko has a strong Project Management background working in different expert areas from designing machinery to building petrol stations. After almost 10 years in engineering, he has switched his career to IT and become Project Manager at Adacta. He is currently writing a scientific article about Proactive behavior at Project work, which will open the door for doctoral study.\n\n\nJoin PMI Slovenia for research, Q&A, discussion, and networking! More about membership you can read here ( https://www.pmi-slo.org/en/membership/become-a-member/ ).\n
