On Thursday, April 29, 2021, we hosted the PM4Real event for the first time this year. The purpose of the event is to contribute to the continuous development of project management, to exchange knowledge and experience from practice and to network.
Our member Eva Doboš, who is an experienced project manager (PMP) in the field of information technologies and services, had a presentation Setting up a PMO (project management office). She presented the differences between the roles of the project manager and the PMO, why set up a PMO, the steps to building a PMO, PMO Charter, why PMO fails and tips & tricks for a successful PMO.
After the presentation, the participants had the opportunity to ask Eva Doboš for additional explanation, opinion and advice. The conversation developed into a very interesting 1-hour discussion, as the participants also shared their tips and experiences from practice.
PMI members received 2 PDU points, one technical and the other strategic.
