We will welcome the new members and also the new members of the Executive Board, as this year we will hold elections before our annual General Assembly. We will also prepare and present the annual and financial report. We can't wait to see what the annual plan for 2022 brings us.
So join us on February 17, 2022 at 5 p.m. Please confirm your participation by registering.
Kind regards, PMI Slovenia, Ljubljana Chapter
At the first PM4Real in 2022, we would like to present three examples of good practices of active membership. The first example is meetings intended for project managers who already have a certain level of knowledge of English and want to maintain it, who want to share knowledge from our field of expertise through a group discussion and at the same time develop a network of international contacts. The second example is the Projects from the future project. The last example we would like to present is the Light up 360 event.
We invite you to consider and suggest what good practices we could add to the work of our association and implement them this year. The event is free of charge and will take place online.
In the first part, Marjana Skubic, M.Sc., PMP, will present free advanced English courses for project managers from PMI Lima, Peru Chapter, Academy of English for project managers and other collaborative chapters. The courses were led by coaches from countries around the world and they rounded off their activities in 2021 with the Intercultural Meet & Greet for project managers event. This year, PMI Turkey is also preparing similar courses within the framework of these courses. Members of PMI Slovenia, Ljubljana can attend these courses as students, coaches or project managers of a Session of courses or events. There are also opportunities for PMI Slovenia, Ljubljana to work together with these chapters, or even establish an Academy of English for Project Managers PMI Slovenia, Ljubljana. We will also be joined by a guest Mr. Martin Samuel Figueroa Perez, new head of the Academy of English, PMI Lima, Peru.
In the second part, Alenka Slabe, PMP, will present the Projects from the future project, which aims to spread knowledge and culture of project management among children. Projects from the future is a great learning tool for introducing project management in primary schools. It was recognized as a good practice by the global PMI® Association and it was published as a material in 15 languages at the PMIEF - Educational Foundation, which enables young people to realize their potential and enrich their lives through project management. We also translated it into Slovene and presented its use to teachers in many Slovene primary schools.
In the third part, Uroš Orehek will present the Light up 360 event. It is an event where project managers from the PMI community compete for the best 360-second presentation. They present and share their valuable knowledge and experience from practice, therefore the event is very interesting also for the audience. Light up 360 brings together five PMI chapters from northern Italy, Croatia, Austria, Slovenia and Hungary. In the end, participants have the opportunity to vote for their favorite presentation. The best three presentations receive prizes.

The pandemic is shifting everyone's perception of how we approach work. Over the past year and half the whole world has woken up to the fact that working from home is viable, and we are seeing more flexibility from clients about incorporating homeworking into our delivery model. In Endava, we are enabling our teams to both work from home and from an office, to get the best of both worlds – we call it the hybrid work model.
Let's explore through a real Agile project example, how a delivery team works using the hybrid work model, what challenges we have, how we overcome the lack of in-person interaction and collaboration. Be ready to hear more on the Agile delivery model we are using as well.

Suzana Rakovič is a dedicated Product Owner and Senior Business Analyst with 25+ years of experience in Tech Industry. She left a mark on variety of projects for Airline, Payment, e-Commerce, Gaming, Mobile solutions, ERP Systems, Banking, Retail domains, etc. On projects, she is mainly in role of a Business Analyst, Project manager or Product Owner. She is an expert for leading agile teams to deliver on time while creating backlog out of chaos. She has experience working with different delivery models (waterfall / agile), in distributed teams, including multiple suppliers, in different work models: onsite, hybrid and fully remote - collaborating across time zones.

Projects do not exist in isolation. Even if there is a defined brief, budget, program and scope of work the project is still subject to external influences. The project exists within an environment, populated by all those who have a particular stake or interest in the outcome of the project. This environment and the expectations of stakeholders represent significant risk to a project. It is unlikely that the requirements of all stakeholders will coincide, and they will seek to influence the project in order to meet their own requirements. Pressure from stakeholders generates change and change increases the complexity of the management task, jeopardizing cost, and project certainty.
However, if the views of project stakeholders are not addressed and if stakeholders are not involved in the development of the project, then the project is unlikely to deliver optimum value for all involved. It is important that project managers strike the right balance between stakeholder involvement and isolation of the project from external influence to achieve delivery on cost and time but also to maximize benefit for the client and his stakeholders.
Let’s find out about strategy for successful Stakeholders Management and discuss about best practices how to use them on the projects to improve communication, relationship, and overall success of the project.

We all know different project management methodology. However, they are mostly focused on the technical (not technological) side of a project - what tasks, when and how we must run to successfully deliver the project. But what about the people? A lot of projects are bringing value which can be obtained only if affected people change how they work. How do we manage this side of the project? How can we convince people to do their job differently and help the project succeed?
Let’s find out how each person understands change and what steps we must take to bring him or her from current to future state and secure the project success.

Peter Dolenc has more than 15 years of experience in projects implementation, introducing new products, concepts and solutions, and leading and developing teams. He successfully led the transformation in several Slovenian companies, where he always used ability to accept, introduce and implement changes as company main competence. In the international corporations Microsoft and Oracle, he oversaw introducing new concepts at the local level and their implementation in the Slovenian market. He specializes in project management according to both classical and agile project management methods, which he successfully upgrades with the world's leading change management methodology Prosci. Peter holds the following certificates: Prosci Certified Advanced Instructor, Prosci Train the Trainer, Prosci Integrating Agile and Change Management, SCRUM Master Certified, PRINCE2 Practitioner, IIBA Certified Business Analyst Professional Boot Camp and Actee Gamification Certified Partner.
