On Thursday, June 10, 2021, we had our last PM4Real before the summer break. It was led by the outstanding Alenka Slabe, PMP, and the topic was Practical Emotional Intelligence Tools for Effective Projects. This time we met live at the company Endava. In addition to very interesting content, the participants also received refreshments and PMI badges.
Alenka Slabe presented three tools of emotional intelligence with which we can more easily lead a project: learning style, participative leadership and regular 1 on 1 meetings. We know three different types of learning: visual, auditory and kinestetic type of learning. Example: our team members, if they are a visual type, understand explanation easier and faster if we present it graphically to them, so we draw, use graphs, pictures and plans in the presentations.
The limited number of participants in the event allowed a debate to develop on the topic of these three tools. Each participant shared valuable experiences of solving situations in project management with the help of emotional intelligence.
The purpose of the PM4Real event is to contribute to the continuous development of project management, exchange knowledge and experience from practice and expand the participant's social network (networking). We invite you to see our Activities page and join us at the next event.
You can read more about emotional intelligence in the book Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter More Than IQ, by Daniel Goleman.
